About Brownsville Digital
Well, we is mostly me, Mike Kilmer, but I have a few other amazing people I work with, depending on the project: Chris is a masterful coder in pretty much any of the languages noted above, Tom is a fastidious art director and frontend dev, Shafiq specializes in Wordpress, Prashant concentrates on mobile apps and things like fire-retardant fabrics.
I'm passionate about communication including music, community development, writing, user experience design and, of course, coding. I've been doing this since nineteen-ninety-six, and seem to be getting good at it.

Think Peace
This project, build with ReactJS and MongoDB allows users to record wishes sent around the Earth. Audio and video themes created by guest artists respond to the the state of wishes.
Elliptica In-Studio App
A fitness studio needed to display live data from the Keiser elliptical machines of the students and instructor. It utilizes Python Flask, Javascript (and some typescript) dynamic CSS gradients, DOM, WebSocket and WebAudio APIs.
Mindbody Wordpress Plugin
This niche plugin, originally utilizing SOAP, and now (thankfully) REST, pulls in schedule and instructor data from the Mindbody Online account of the administrator. It also supports extension plugins via an Easy Digital Downloads-influenced singleton pattern.
Baughman Properties Website
The Roots.io toolset includes Webpack, Ansible and PHP Laravel framework for enterprise level provisioning, deployment and maintenance of projects utilizing the Wordpress framework. The above project, details about rental properties are administrable. We don't specialize in graphic design, but sometimes take on that role. User Experience is, of course, the foundation.
Storybook Sound Markdown Website
Jekyll is a tool written in Ruby, with which static .html pages can be managed dynamically without the need for a database. With this project, we wanted to showcase a vast number of artists and projects as well as conveying a sense of the atmosphere of this boutique, high-end mastering and recording studio.
Blink Wellness Wordpress Plugin
We were tasked with building a re-purposable interface similar to the previously mentioned Mindbody Wordpress plugin, but with a robust user registration, purchasing and marketing feature.
Warehouse/Fulfillment Management App
For this project, we went with Django, a robust framework written in Python. It interfaces with Shopify and BigCommerce APIs to automatically track inventory and fulfillment status.
Infinite Random Music Player
Flask, written in Python serves it. Javascript and HTML5 play it. Hundreds of minutes of psuedo-randomly mixed musical sections of the (official Guinness Book) longest pop song in the world.
